Individual Customs Clearance Code (IPIN) is a personal identification code used when purchasing goods overseas and declaring imports.
Previously, the use of either a resident registration number or an individual customs clearance code was optional when declaring customs for imported goods from overseas. However, since March 2015, the use of the individual customs clearance code has become mandatory.
As it is essential for domestic customs clearance of overseas purchased items, we strongly recommend obtaining it in advance and provide guidance on the issuance process.
